Healthy Holiday Snack Bars

Posted at

Taking some time off and don't want to fall into bad eating habits? I have the perfect "snack" recipe which can be eaten at breakfast or even after dinner. It is full of healthy fats, protein and fibre making it both nutritious and healthy.

2 cups rolled oats
3/4 spelt flour
1/4 cup raw honey
1/2 cup coconut oil
2 eggs
3/4 cup cranberries
2 tbsp sliced almonds
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Spray 20cm square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ingredients until smooth.

3. Spread batter in a prepared baking pan, use the back of a spatula to press down batter. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until bars are cooked all the way through and lightly browned on top.

4. Let bars cool completely in pan before cutting and then enjoy!

Along with snacking on healthy foods on your break make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, cleansing and applying me at least one a week for clear, glowing skin.

Stay clear! XO
